Bendigo is located in the geographic heart of the southern Australian State of Victoria, 150km north west of the state capital, Melbourne and can be reached by car, bus or light plane.

If travelling by car, depart Melbourne via the Calder Highway or Hume Highway. Clear signage along the way will lead you to Bendigo in just under 2 hours from Melbourne.

Bendigo Airport Service operates a daily airport shuttle bus from Melbourne Airport to Bendigo (and return). For more information, telephone +61 3 5447 9006.

Frequent trains/buses can also get you to and from Melbourne and Bendigo. The bus station is centrally located in the CBD of both locations. Visit V/Line for timetable and price information, alternatively phone 136 196. 
Please note that the Victorian Government has committed $200 million to the Regional Fast Rail project. As a result, buses will replace the train service on 20-21, 27-28 November and 4-5 December.  Contact 136 196 for more information.
